Enterprising Cobblers explores the nature of the manufacturing market – manufacturers need to make things people will buy. Products need to be designed to suit the market.
Students are introduced to the concepts of manufacturing, business planning and market research through working in small teams to design and produce an item of footwear. Each team must then produce a simple business plan, model the shoe and give a short sales presentation about why customers should buy their design.
